WWLP 22 News featured a video report from the SAM sponsored Special Snowmobile Registration Event by the Massachusetts Environmental Police.
The registration services coincided with the Bernardston-Gill-Leyden snowmobile club’s annual swap meet. The Massachusetts Environmental Police had a mobile command center on the premises that allowed the Boating & Recreational Vehicles registration office to remotely register or renew snowmobile registrations.
It was also the first-ever vintage registration event, where those wanting to register their sleds under the new vintage snowmobile category could have their sleds inspected and verified for eligibility.
In addition, Massachusetts Environmental Police Colonel James McGinn, along with several officers and registry personnel, where available to answer questions and assist the many snowmobilers on hand.
The event was a major success, with snowmobilers lined up by the dozens at 9AM and throughout the day. SAM wants to extend their gratitude to Colonel McGinn and his staff, and the BGL Club for making the venue available.
