David MacLeod has been a Snowmobile Groomer Operator for over 25 years as well as a trail worker. This volunteer knows what it takes to make trails smooth. As groomer chief for the Snowbirds Snowmobile Club he studies grooming, teaches grooming, simply lives to groom.
He tinkers all summer long on the club groomers, getting them ready for service. This often involves major overhauls.
He has been a board of director in several clubs as well as president for many years. He constantly volunteers at club events as well as the SAM Expo and ISC in Sturbridge. He is easily recognized by his big smile.
OK, this is a little over the top, but he once brought a drag with him on vacation to make the access trail to the hotel smooth.
