Race Time Radio becomes new media partner for East Coast Snocross, Presented by AMSOIL and Woody’s Traction
One of Canada’s most well-known media entities is expanding south into the U.S., and northeastern snocross fans will benefit with expanded coverage.
Officials at East Coast Snocross (ECS) and Race Time Radio (RTR) are pleased to announce an agreement that will make the Ontario-based company a new digital media partner for 2013-2014.
Race Time Radio was launched back in 2006, starting out covering short track auto racing around the province of Ontario. Since that time, owner Joe Chisholm Sr. has expanded his variety of programming to include a weekly show called “Inside Snocross,” which runs from late November through late March.
“We think this is the best way to grow our fan base by having a strong presence on this very popular radio program,” said ECS co-owner and president Bob Roscoe. “Race Time Radio has a free App to download so you can even listen in on your Smartphone. Anybody with a desktop, laptop, tablet or modern cellphone will have access to Joe’s audio and hear about ECS. We’re excited about what this allows us to do for our marketing partners, as well. We’re always working to expand our fan base, and hope folks will tune in each week to follow our series throughout the season.”
Chisholm has traveled extensively across eastern Canada to broadcast high-profile stock car races Live on Race Time Radio. This past summer, he and his broadcast team covered the famed IWK 250 at Riverside Speedway in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour delivers great racing to fans across the Maritime provinces all summer long.
“I’ve been aware of the talented riders in ECS for quite some time,” Chisholm said. “I’m excited about adding ECS coverage to Inside Snocross this season. With this series featuring the top riders from New England and New York, there will be plenty of action to follow all winter. We’ll be on the air from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. every Tuesday evening, talking to riders and team owners. I know this will be an exciting season for us all, and urge all fans to tune in and enjoy our in-depth coverage of ECS.”
Race Time Radio, based in Shallow Lake, Ontario, features two weekly broadcasts during the summer months. A one-hour show airs Live on Saturday mornings to preview that weekend’s races in both Canada and the U.S., while a more comprehensive, two-hour recap show airs Monday nights from 9 p.m. EST to 11 p.m. The third season of “Inside Snocross” begins on Tuesday evening, Nov. 26, at 8 p.m. with a preview of the International Series of Champions’ (ISOC) AMSOIL Duluth National. East Coast Snocross is the northeastern regional affiliate of ISOC, the national sanctioning body for snowmobile snocross. ECS strives to maintain a healthy level of competition in grass-roots snocross throughout New England and New York, while at the same time cultivating new talent for tomorrow’s factory-backed national teams.
