SAM clubs clearing trails are probably finding many downed trees and limbs due to the October Nor’easter and Hurricane Irene. The Fire Chiefs’ Association of Massachusetts are requesting assistance in identifying obstructed fire roads and emergency access points in the state. Brookfield Fire Chief Peter Martell asks SAM members to contact their local fire department if they find trouble areas that could hamper emergency vehicle response.
