We are a small club located in western MA, we maintain about 60 miles of interconnected trails. But we are much more than this! First off we are all volunteers! “Volunteers are not paid, not because they are worthless but because they are priceless!” We are a diverse group of local and out of state business men and women, blue collar workers and most of all family’s!
Our club does much more than “snowmobile” we can be found up to some aspect of our sport year round. Late summer and early fall bring club meetings, grooming equipment maintenance, trail maintenance, bridge repair, trail marking/signage etc.Late fall and early winter bring more trail clearing, opening fences and marking fields. Winter brings trail grooming, club rides and much needed economic income into our community via trail use.
We hold several fundraising events throughout the year such as our famous Pekarski’s kielbasa grinders at Fall Festival and our annual pancake breakfast to support this work and our many charity donations. We support the Relay for Life, Ashfield Food Pantry, Ashfield Scholarship Fund, Toys for Tots, Easter Seals Camp Sno-Mo and the Community Christmas Party that has become a local family favorite!
We work closely with the MA environmental police, local police and fire/EMS services on missing persons and remote injuries. The trail system we maintain first and foremost is only available because of the generosity of many private landowners in our community. This system provides many different groups like hikers, mountain bikers, horseback riders, snowshoes, cross-country skiers, and dog sleds’ a way to enjoy the beauty the hill town’s offer. So next time you are out enjoying this wonderful asset think about first thanking a landowner then about joining us at a sponsored fundraising event or a club meeting to offer a hand! Remember “the woods have much to offer to the human soul.”
Trails are closed until the club officially opens them. Trail trims have started, please come give us a hand. We meet at Ashfield Neighbors every Sunday at 9:00 am. Please bring a saw or other tools you have. Call Kyle at 413-320-0833 with any questions.
