The 2015 Arctic Cat snowmobiles were announced today to the beat of Ted Nugent’s Cat Scratch Fever ringing through fan boys’ ears.

Much to everyone’s surprise (and relief), the Suzuki two-stroke 500 and 800 are still available.

The Arctic Cat Pantera is back for 2015 in the luxo-touring segment in the newly introduced ProTour chassis, powered by the 7000 series C-TEC4 Yamaha engine in 1-up and 2-up riding, with all the bells and whistles.

The Pantera and Pantera Limited are propelled by a 146 inch track, and feature a detachable 2-up passenger seat, a plug for heated helmet visors (for the riders and passenger), the mandatory tall windshield with mirrors and a hard plastic rear storage compartment. It even has an auxiliary 4.3 gal. gas tank, bringing the total volume up to 15 gallons. That’s more than some cars!

The expanded ZR line will be a hit, with 24 sleds now displaying the racer badge within the 2015 ZR 6000, 7000, 8000 and 9000 range.

Engine choices for the ZR are expansive. The Suzuki EFI 500 two-stroke twin “4000” models, the 1056cc Suzuki four-stroke twin “5000” models, Arctic Cat’s 600 two-stroke twin, C-TEC2 “6000” models, Yamaha’s four-stroke 1049cc, triple “7000” models, Suzuki’s 794cc two-stroke twin “8000” and the Suzuki 1056cc, turbo-charged, 180 hp four-stroke twin, “9000” series.

The regular ZR isn’t enough? How about one of four RR models (Race Replica) equipped with FOX FLOAT X EVOL ski shocks and on the front and FOX ZERO Pro rear suspension shocks, all with remote reservoirs. ZR RR models choices fall in the 4000, 6000, 7000, 8000 and 9000 series.

It’s been missing for more than two decades but Arctic Cat revives the Lynx nameplate for 2015 as an entry level sled. The Twin Spar chassis is powered by a 565cc fan-cooled Suzuki two-stroke twin, pretty much last year’s F570, with reverse. If you need a two-up, try out the Lynx 2000 LT.

Thanks It’s too bad there are none left in Eastern Mass.  Makes it real difficult to purchase a new snowmobile from a dealer 3 hours away.
